Good news for Amarnath Yatris
There is good news for pilgrims preparing this year for the Amarnath Yatra - the Shivalingam has taken its full form.
Even online booking for helicopter services has also started from last week of April. The cave shrine will open on June 29 till August 7.
Meanwhile, the authorities have issued guideline for the pilgrims. They are advised to avoid consuming alcohol, caffeinated drinks, smoking, sleeping pills and strong painkillers during the trek.

They said the yatris could avoid high-altitude sickness by giving their body adequate time to acclimatise. It is, therefore, advised that pilgrims don't over exert during the first 48 hours of arrival in the yatra area.
Chairman SASB and J&K governor NN Vohra has held meetings with officials for a safe and smooth yatra this year.
